Jesus said, “Come!” (Matt. 14:29)

As the Women’s National Director, I’m often asked if you must be a golfer to start or join a Women’s Links Players Fellowship. People are often surprised when I tell them that around half of the women who attend these fellowships are not golfers, and many of our leaders are not either. While we primarily meet at golf courses for our fellowships, playing golf is not a requirement to lead or join one.

Among the women who do play, many only play nine holes. Of course, we also have many women who play 18 holes several days a week and can’t get enough of the game.

We’re all in different seasons of life that either allow or prevent us from playing golf. No matter the season, you can still be a part of the Links Players Women’s Fellowships, with or without playing golf.

What unites us is Christ. He is the center of every fellowship. Links Players Fellowships are gatherings of three or more women who come together to connect in their golfing communities. We are changing the conversation at golf clubs across the nation, with over 52 women’s fellowships and growing.

Our conversations focus on God and themes that strengthen, encourage, and edify our spirits. As Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I with them (Matt. 18:20).” So, Jesus is present at every fellowship, and His presence is palpable.

If you’ve never attended a fellowship, I highly encourage you to do so. As the psalmist declares, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him” (Psalms 34:8)! He is there with us, growing our faith, guiding us in truth, and building us up to continue loving God and others as we love ourselves.

As a facilitator and regular attendee of Links Players Fellowships, my own faith has grown immensely. As I minister to others, I find that they often minister to me in profound and deep ways, ways which touch the depths of my inner woman (2 Cor. 4:16). Many times, I leave a fellowship feeling so filled with God’s love that my spirit overflows with joy from His presence and the fellowship within the body of Christ.

I feel exactly as Jesus said: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38)

As our women’s ministry continues to grow, we need more volunteers to spread the word about Links Players and help grow more fellowships so more women can experience the joy of coming together in our golfing communities, covered by God’s love, mercy, and grace.

Whether you play golf or not, whether you’re a casual nine-hole player or an avid 18-hole player, all women are welcome to join and lead a Links Players Fellowship.

Today, would you invite someone new to your fellowship so they may taste and see that the Lord is good? Or perhaps you are already in a fellowship and feel called to branch out and start a new one at another golf course?

Or maybe you’ve been praying about starting a fellowship at your course but have hesitated to step out in faith. If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it! This is your sign: Step out of the boat-Step out in faith-Step toward Jesus!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for expanding Links Players across the nation as we share your love in our golfing communities.
