Scripture- Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means, God with us). (Matthew 1:23, ESV)
Reflection– Solitude is a good thing. In fact, solitude is a necessary condition if we are to encounter Immanuel—God with us. Paradoxically, being alone in prayer allows us to encounter Christ in ways not normally available to us in crowds.
Question– Are we drawing away from crowds in consistent ways to meet with God in prayer?
