Jane Park needs our help. While Jane was competing in the LPGA’s Volunteers of America Classic in Texas, her 10-month-old daughter Grace was hospitalized with seizures and brain swelling.
In a social media post last weekend, Jane said doctors have told them that Grace’s brain damage is severe, and that there’s little hope of her recovering. Grace will likely live a life in need of assistance.
Jane has asked not only for prayers, but for connections with other parents who have walked this road. For a neurologist who might look at Grace’s MRIs. Tiffany Joh, a fellow tour player and longtime best friend, started a GoFundMe campaign to help with the couple’s expenses. Jane’s husband, Pete, regularly caddies for Ariya Jutanugarn.
We serve a God of miracles. When the Israelites fled Egypt, their basic needs—like food—quite literally fell from the heavens. The biblical account tells us that “thin flakes like frost” covered the desert floor in the morning. It was manna from heaven, and it fell six days a week to sustain them during the exodus. “The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey. Moses said, “This is what the LORD has commanded: ‘Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the wilderness when I brought you out of Egypt’” (Exodus 16:31-32).

In Psalm 4:3 David wrote, “Know that the LORD has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him.”
Let’s flood the heavens with prayers for Grace and be open to other tangible ways the body of Christ can help. The Lord hears our cries.
Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus.
