OUR PRIVACY POLICY

Last update: January 4, 2010

Everyone who interacts with Internet sites has reason to maintain privacy to one degree or another. It is our overall policy to err on the side of complete privacy on behalf of those who work with us and through us. We would describe our activities as "very unintrusive," without use of cookies or other like technologies to establish links between our system and your computer.

Web Traffic
We track the traffic to our Web site home page without specific reference to individual users. This simply allows us to assess how many people are using our site, which browsers they normally use, and what other links are sending them to our site.

Web Purchases and Donations
All Web purchases and/or donations are made through PayPal, so we do not receive any bank or credit information for individuals. We do enter address and email information into our internal database, and we may use this information to send you either or both of the following Links Players correspondences: (1) annual Links Players magazine, and (2) Links Players annual campaign fund raising letters. We do not distribute any of our internal database information to third parties.

Telephone Purchases and Donations
All telephone purchases and/or donations include the consumer's divulgence of their credit card information. This information is used to transact the purchase and/or donation, then is immediately destroyed (unless a donor has authorized a monthly credit card donation). We do enter address and email information into our internal database, and we may use this information to send you either or both of the following Links Players correspondences: (1) annual Links Players magazine, and (2) Links Players annual campaign fund raising letters. We do not distribute any of our internal database information to third parties.

Our Internal Database
Our internal database is just that: internal. We do not distribute it for use by other parties. The database may include the following basic information for each individual: Name, Company Name, Street Address, Telephone, Email. We use the database for the following four purposes:

 (a) To track donor records for the purpose of IRS receipting and future requests.

 (b) To track order history.

 (c) To include users on the Links Players magazine mailing list.

 (d) To identify users in particular regions in order to contact them for events in their area.

Links Daily Devotional
In order to receive the Links Daily Devotional via email, you must submit your email address to Links Players. You may do this via direct email or through the subscription system on our Web site. You are not asked for any information other than your email address. We do not distribute any of these email addresses to third parties. An opt-out click-thru is included with every Links Daily Devotional email, allowing subscribers to end their connection to the Links Daily Devotional at any time. The provider we use, Constant Contact, does track the number of opened emails, click-thrus, and forwards that occur from individual Devotional emails; Constant Contact does not link this information to individual users. For one week each year (the first week of October), we include a request for Links Daily Devotional subscribers to make a tax-deductible donation to the organization.

Links Fellowships Contact Information
The Local Links Fellowships section of the Links Players International Web site includes names, phone numbers, and email addresses of Links Fellowships leaders. This information is furnished to Links Players voluntarily with the understanding that it will be included on our Web site. This information is intended for the purpose of establishing Christian fellowship connections among golfers; those who access this information for other purposes, including commercial solicitation, ministry funding solicitation, or other purposes, does so without the authorization of Links Players International. Those who collect these addresses and send email to the bulk list without permission or opt-out options are in violation of anti-spam laws.

Solicitation and Communication
We understand that among ministries, there is often a fine line between solicitation and information. We also believe that excessive solicitation is a breach of a person's privacy. Therefore, we send announcements of newly developed resources only as addended items to emails such as the Links Daily Devotional, which users have opted to receive. Additionally, we send mailed solicitations and/or newsletters, including the Links Letter magazine, other than receipts for individual donations and invitations to specific golf events, no more than four times each year (or six times per year if you are on the individual mailing list of one of our regional staff members).

Those who are on our contacts list for Links Fellowships may, on occasion, also receive unrequested samples of new resources directly from Links Players.

On rare occasions, we will send special emails to our entire Links Daily Devotional list. These emails relate to specific, significant ministry developments.

Questions or concerns
If you have questions or concerns about the way we are conducting our ministry and/or Internet activities, please do not hesitate to contact us at 800-90-LINKS (905-4657) or linksplayers@linksplayers.com.
